This 4" Sioux Chief ProCheck PVC Backwater Valve is a lightweight, inexpensive solution for protecting your home from wastewater backflow. Backwater valves are placed in a home's main drainage line and use a disc-shaped flapper to keep wastewater flowing the correct direction: away from your home. These valves are typically used when there is some risk of flooding in the area.   Features - Compatible with sch. 40 PVC pipe nom. size: 4" - Threaded top valve cover (compatible with a standard 2X4) - Molded flapper for tight seal and no-hassle removal - Intended for standard (non-bury) installations. Deep bury adapter kit available (SKU: 869-S4PDB) - Designed in accordance to ASME A112.14.1-2003 - Made in the USA
